Want your work in the next edition?
We accept poetry, prose, and art. All submissions are reviewed by committees, and those accepted will be published. Submit this fall semester for the edition coming out in Spring 2009!
Please make sure to look at the deadlines and click the links below to read the submission guidelines, which will ensure that your piece is reviewed this semester.
Submit ART
Do you have a photograph, painting, sculpture, design, or other work that you would like to see in our next edition? Follow the guidelines below, and your art will be reviewed by the Preface staff. Due to the professional printing we use, we can only accept art that follows the guidelines, which ensures that your work will look its best in the magazine.
- Get your work into the correct format:
- Digital photograph or art
- We review works that are 300dpi (or more), larger than 2'' by 2'', and almost any file format.
- Don't know what this means or how to get your art in the correct format?

- Printed photograph or painting
- Scan your art at the library at 300dpi (or more). Make sure it is larger than 2'' by 2''.
- If you don't know how to scan at this resolution or need help:
- Email PrefaceART@gmail.com with questions.
- Sculpture, design, large painting or other works that cannot be scanned
- Take a high-quality, digital photo of your work. Put it on the computer and set it to 300dpi.

- Digital photograph or art
- SUBMIT your work to the Preface
- Once you have your piece in the correct format:
- Email:
- In the SUBJECT line: Put your full name and the piece's title
- Attach your file to the email
- Send to PrefaceART@gmail.com
- Digital hardcopy: Is your piece too big to send as an email?
- Burn your file to a CD
- Write your name and the title of the piece on the CD
