To authorize a project for environmental restoration at Smith Island, Maryland.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SMITH ISLAND, MARYLAND.

The project for environmental restoration, Smith Island, Maryland, is authorized to be carried out by the Secretary of the Army substantially in accordance with the plans, and subject to the conditions, described in the Report of the Chief of Engineers dated October 29, 2001, at a total cost of $7,442,000, with an estimated Federal cost of $4,838,000 and an estimated non-Federal cost of $2,604,000.
